returns / exchanges
Exchanges are welcome within 3 days of receiving your order. To protect myself from a world of mindless “I’ll just try this, maybe wear it once, and ultimately return it” online shopping, I do not give refunds, only store credit
Please keep in mind that this a small business, like really small. Like, it’s just me, small. I want my pieces to be worn and enjoyed, if you have an issue with anything I will do my absolute best to help make it right
stone care
I work with a variety of beautiful natural stones, some require more care than others. Turquoise, Variscite, and Opals can absorb liquids, so it is best to avoid wearing in the ocean, swimming pools, prolonged soaking in any water. Many of the Turquoise I work with are stabilized, which means they have been hard pressed with resin to protect their color and structure. These stones are less likely to change color after contact with salt water, water wear in general. However, it is never recommended to wear jewelry in chlorine. Natural Turquoise and Variscite that have not been treated should not be worn while showering or swimming. Hand washing is okay, wipe the stone dry after and avoid getting soap or lotion on the gem. Moonstones, Labradorites, Lapis, Pearls, are not absorbent, but may scratch if worn while doing work with your hands that could strike the ring. In my personal collection, I have natural and stabilized Turquoise, I have tested them in many elements. Do not be afraid of wearing natural stones - some of my most delicate stones I have worn a lllotttt, and they are just fine. There may be slight color change over time, especially if you are in a humid climate. But I think that is okay, I have a beautiful natural Turquoise pendant that I have accidentally worn in various bodies of water (never chlorine though!!) and it has taken on a gorgeous pattern, I like it even more now. These are natural pieces of earth that come from underground, it's a harsh world up here, remember that :)
metal care
I only work with solid metal; sterling silver, 14k gold, and brass. None of the metals I work with contain nickel, but they all contain copper! Which is super grounding. Sterling Silver and brass behave similarly - they may tarnish when not worn and left out in open air, and are happiest / shiniest when clean and dry. Sweat, dirt, chlorine, salt water, can oxidize the metal. Cleaning your jewelry with warm soapy water will keep dirt or other elements from drying on and coating the metal. Silver polishing cloths can be used to shine all metals I work with, each order comes with a complimentary cloth. When not wearing jewelry, it is best to keep it in a box or bag and out of open air. 14k Gold does not tarnish like sterling or brass, but it also benefits and stays shinier with gentle washing and love from the polishing cloth. Chlorine is jewelry's number one enemy, please try to avoid it when you can. If you wear your jewelry in the ocean just rinse it off after, try not to let the salt dry on the metal. Worry not - no matter how tarnished or oxidized a piece may become, it can always be polished back to its original shine, there is nothing that chips or wares away
ring sizing / fit
My rings with stones have a unique shape that allow extra room for comfort without slipping off over the knuckle, each ring can be different depending on the stone shape. Smaller stones tend to fit more traditionally, whereas really wide stones create a very unique fit with a bit more negative space on the sides. Our fingers are always changing size due to a number of factors. My rings are designed to fit a range of sizes, the unique shape allows room for swelling. No one likes a tight ring! Customers that typically don’t wear regular rings because of discomfort (or fear of the ring getting stuck on their finger) love the fit of my rings. Please order according to your ring size, and understand that because of the unique shape, sizing is approximate
resizing
Because of the gemstones I work with, rings cannot be resized by me at this moment. If you see a ring you love that is not your size, email me to see similar stones available for custom pieces
